Location Map
Plot places on a stylised world map from plain lines of text: a label, a latitude and a longitude. The outline is drawn in the component, so nothing is fetched at runtime and no map tile server is involved.
Markers projected with plate carree, the same formula the embedded outline was drawn with, so a pin and the coastline under it can never disagree. Latitude clamps at the poles and longitude wraps across the antimeridian.
The same places cropped to a region. Six regions are built in, and the map letterboxes to whatever frame it is given rather than stretching.
